The Color of the Wind

One of our National Grassland Preserves is east of Fort Collins here in Colorado.  If there is one thing that is constant in a grassland environment, it is the wind.  Part of our Pawnee National Grassland is used to harness this flow of energy.  In the morning glow with the breeze blowing, the turbines turned without a sound.
Our grasslands were once decimated by over-grazing and unsustainable farming.  Thankfully, we have learned (a little) from these mistakes and have let the prairie grass reclaim its hold on some of our soil.
